How we collect it: You have multiple options to provide your location:

Search by city name: Enter your city name and we search online to find coordinates (requires internet connection)
Use current GPS location: Click “Get GPS Location” button and grant location permission
Use default location: Select Mecca, Saudi Arabia as default

Why we collect it:

To calculate accurate prayer times based on your location
To show the correct Qibla direction (compass pointing to Mecca)
These are core features of the app

Where it’s stored:

All location data is stored locally on your device only
We do NOT send your location to our servers
We do NOT share your location with third parties

Is it required?

No, location is optional
You can deny location permission
You can manually enter coordinates instead

How to delete it:

Go to Android Settings → Apps → Islamic Calendar
Tap Storage & cache → Clear data
Or uninstall the app to remove all data

2. Advertising Identifier (GAID)

What we collect:

Google Advertising ID (automatically collected by ad networks)

How we collect it:

Automatically collected by Google AdMob SDK
Automatically collected by Unity Ads SDK

Why we collect it:

To display personalized advertisements in the free version of the app
To support the app’s development and maintenance

Where it’s shared:

Shared with Google AdMob
Shared with Unity Ads
May be shared with their advertising partners

Is it required?

Yes, for the free version with ads
You can purchase the premium version to remove all ads and stop advertising ID collection

How to reset it:

Go to Android Settings → Google → Ads
Tap “Reset advertising ID”
Note: This is managed by Google and the ad networks, not by us

❌ No Calendar: We do NOT access your device calendar

How We Use Your Data

Location Data

Purpose: Calculate accurate prayer times and show Qibla direction for your location
Processing: All calculations are done locally on your device
Storage: Stored in your device’s local storage (SharedPreferences)
Sharing: Never shared with anyone
Internet Usage: Only used when you choose “Search by city name” to look up coordinates online

Advertising ID

Purpose: Display personalized ads to free users
Processing: Managed entirely by Google AdMob and Unity Ads
Storage: Managed by the ad networks
Sharing: Shared with ad networks and their partners

Data Security

Encryption in Transit:

All network communications use HTTPS encryption
Your location data is not transmitted over the network (stored locally only)
Ad network communications are encrypted by default

Local Storage:

Location preferences are stored securely in your device’s local storage
Only your app can access this data
Data is deleted when you clear app data or uninstall

Your Rights and Choices

Location Permission

You can deny location permission at any time
Go to: Android Settings → Apps → Islamic Calendar → Permissions → Location → Deny
The app will continue to work, but prayer times will need manual location entry

Advertising

You can reset your Advertising ID in Android Settings → Google → Ads
You can purchase the premium version to remove all ads

Data Deletion

You can delete all app data at any time:
1. Go to Android Settings
2. Apps → Islamic Calendar
3. Storage & cache
4. Clear data
Uninstalling the app permanently deletes all local data

Premium Purchase Data

Purchase history is managed by Google Play Billing
We do not store or have access to your payment information
Contact Google Play support for purchase-related data requests

Children’s Privacy

Our app does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages and does not require any personal information to function.
